I want you all to know that this forum is for discussing ANYTHING regarding making money online, good and/or bad.
Have you had a bad experience on a GPT site? What site? What happened?
I personally have had and am still having trouble with the owners of cash Crate and I will NEVER do any offers there again or promote the site.
What about you? Any troubles anywhere?

What kind of trouble are you having over there? I started out on CashCrate, and got paid a small bit two months in a row, but I find it very, very difficult to get offers to approve over there. I haven't been there to do offers in about three months now. It was just too much work, for very little compensation. On the other hand, if you look at some of the payment proof in their forum, you see lots of people earning lots of money. I just don't get it.

They have a high referral % too, which makes most people lots of money. My first month there, with very few referrals, I made $225.82 so yes, you can make money. I have issues with this: I have been trying to receive compensation for utilizing the *go shopping* feature on CashCrate since June. I made a purchase at Babies R Us for $601 on 6/6/07 and a purchase on iTunes for $23.94 on 6/8/07 and still have not been credited for this. My first inquiry to them was on June 30th, and this was the response: ~There is a delay in crediting on the cash back shopping, don't worry though, it's not lost!~ Okay, fine. Still nothing, so on July 23rd, I contacted them and got this response: ~My apologies this still has not credited. I honestly don't know what is holding up the crediting of this, but I just sent a message to the guy who is in charge of this telling him it needs to be a priority. I also forwarded a copy to the owner; hopefully this will be addressed soon.~ Not sounding too good, huh? On August 8th, I contacted them AGAIN... Got this response: ~I was informed that the problem has been identified and we are now in the process of contacting the companies and having them fix the problems. This should all be cleared up soon.~ Interesting....soon, huh? I contacted them AGAIN and the TRUTH comes out! This was the response: ~To be honest, the guy who is supposed to be taking care of this isn't responding to my emails. Obviously this means he hasn't gotten it all cleared up. I'm sure he's still working on it and I hope it is completed soon. If it is not in one week, let me know and I'll give you the owner's email address so you can complain personally.~ OhMYGawd! What a *lovely* way to run a business! Babies R Us is supposed to give 7% back, I spent $601, so that's what? $42? iTunes is not even listed on the go shopping page anymore so who knows what that was! So, because I don't back down, I contacted them again on Sept. 14th and got this response: ~Joe is the sole owner. I just forwarded this message to him, but you can also contact him yourself if you like. I was under the impression we'd cleared all of these up (particularly since you're the only one of several complaints to say something again). I'll have our tech guy check into this as well. - Greg~ Okay, that was SEPTEMBER Did I hear from *Joe*? NOPE So, I contacted them again in the beginning of October. NO RESPONSE. I tried again last week and still NO RESPONSE. |

That has to be the lousiest business practice I have ever heard! Especially coming from such a "huge" GPT site that's been around for so long. I wonder how many people would continue to use that site if they knew what goes on behind the scenes? I bet they'd be a little quicker about fixing problems if people were to stop using them. Anyway, I'm sorry to say this, but you'll probably never see that money. That seems to be the way of things once in a while. I don't blame you one bit for not using CC anymore.

Not only that, but a while back, before this community was here, I was just selling the e-book and tutorials (without referral links) for $12.99 and somehow, without buying it, one of their *Super moderators* ERS035 or something like that, got a hold of it and posted it all over the cash crate forums, gawking at the fact that he obtained it w/o buying it. They didn't do a darn thing to him about that, he's still on the forums like nothing happened. |

I was having success at cash crate at first but not it has just got bad... I am having the same problem as lisa did with nothing crediting... That was one of the first sites that i had found other than cashlagoon and fairy tales. which have both credited me. I stopped doing stuff on their for now.

Sorry to hear about cash crate.. I have never worked that site . I could never get anything to credit. I am steaming right now! Freaky Funds had a referral contest that ended Nov 22nd. And money was put in my account... on the 23rd she sent out an email saying that we could withdrawl that money and be paid right away... I never read that email... it was a holiday weekend and I get so much email I don't read everything especially from sites that send 3 or 4 a day! Then there was another one sent on the 4th of December... anyways when I went to the site to check on everything the 6th the referral money had been added... taken away and added again then taken away .......And was told that we weren't getting payed for not cashing out right away! THis is a brand new site with only 169 members you would think they would want as many members as possible and have good reviews but i was told if i can't read all my emails I belong to to many sites .... SO now all the work I did promoting her site I'm not going to get paid because I didn't cash that money out right away and now has added to TOS you must cashout instant winnings in 2 weeks and applied that to that contest... I'm so sick of site owners looking for any reason possible not to pay their members!!!! Just wanted to let everyone know that Freaky Funds has decided to pay me NOW!! I thank her very much and will take Freaky funds off of my bad list!!!! Great Admin to admit she was wrong.. I thank her so much  |

I can't believe that people are just so seedy with things like this. Crazy .. Like I said Before I had good luck in the beginning but nothing up to this point, so I don't do anything on that site anymore

WOW!! I don't know what I would do in either one of those cases. I feel for you both. I know you got paid Rhonda. But still that would cause me a few grays. I know it must be hard knowing someone doesn't want to pay you for all the work and time you put into something. Bummer for you Lisa. I hope something good comes from this.
