A referral post today by a new member prompted me to post about this site.
A.W. Surveys has a bad rep. They've been blacklisted and still keep coming back. They have surveys far and few between. The only way you can really make cash out, which BTW, is $75, is to get referrals because you get $1.25 per referral.
Oh and yes, the surveys pay a few bucks. In fact, you'll get $6 to do the welcome survey.
When it comes time to cash out, many people aren't being paid, they are told some of their referrals came back as fraudulent. This I found particularly interesting, so I took a look at my own account.
Here are my stats:
Awesome, huh? looks like I can cash out soon! Ummm, yea, I joined this site in JUNE of 2007!!! Hahahaaaa. Only took me 9 months to reach $73.
Okay, so I see I made $45 in referrals. WoW! I barely promoted this site because I joined and then shortly thereafter I heard all this bad stuff about it. So I look to see how many referrals I have.
36?! HUH?! I know darn well I did NOT promote this site that heavily. I think I had a referral banner floating around for maybe 2 days and the last time I checked in on this account, because I have been following this site, not doing surveys but I do check in on the account periodically, I had about 6 referrals.
So, where did all these other referrals come from?
Is this how they say some of people's referrals are fraudulent? Do they put them there? Interesting, huh?
Here's where it really gets good. IF you actually are able to cash out, check out your payment options:
Okay, I can get a check by regular mail, but it will take 4-6 weeks OR I can be paid via PayPal, however, it will take 3-5 business days AND there is a $25 FEE
So, yea, I can get my money much quicker than waiting for the mail by choosing PayPal but I pay $25, which comes right lout of my A.W. Surveys account, so now, I'm cashing out for a mere $50.
Who the hell ever heard paying $25 for *expedited service* when it's just PayPal??!
There are plenty of survey sites that pay via PayPal and the fee is a few cents or none at all. Even the ones that pay by check get your money to you faster than 4-6weeks!!
Now, I have seen screen shots of people's payments. usually people trying to get referrals. Usually a PayPal transaction too. When I point out how they lost $25, they have nothing to say.
I dunno? Is all this worth your time?
I am going to keep checking on my account and when I reach $75 I'll try and cash out. I bet I'll be told some of my referrals are fraudulent.
Actually, I only need, what, 2 more referrals to meet cash out? Anyone wanna join under me so I can test this out sooner?
